About Hanson Aggregates Eagle Quarry

Hanson Aggregates Eagle Quarry opened for business in July 1996, a year after mining first began in the location’s 1,480-acre open-pit limestone reserve. The quarry contains a unique variety of high-density limestone called Brassfield which, due to its high calcium concentration, is one of the hardest limestones available in the state of Ohio. Eagle Quarry’s production operations include:

  • 5 crushers
  • 8 radial stackers
  • 10 screens
  • Over one mile of conveyer belts
  • (4) 70-ton haul trucks

In 2017, the facility was upgraded with a Deister Power Plant Screen, which further enhanced the plant’s production and loading capabilities. Today, the facility’s scale house is capable of loading up to 350 truck per day with high-quality aggregates.
