President & CEO | Chris Ward
Chris Ward is President and CEO of Lehigh Hanson, Inc. He has been with the Company since 1996 and most recently served as President of Lehigh Hanson’s Canada Region. During his time with the company, Ward has also held management positions in Georgia, North Carolina and Texas. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla with a degree in Mining Engineering.
Senior Vice President & CFO | Henner Böttcher
Henner Böttcher is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Lehigh Hanson, Inc. Böttcher joined HeidelbergCement in 2003 and has held a variety of management positions within the company’s Treasury and Finance departments. He previously served as Group Treasurer for HeidelbergCement, a position he held since 2006. Before joining HeidelbergCement, Böttcher spent seven years at Deutsche Bank. He graduated in Business Administration at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in Germany and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
President, Canada Region | Joerg Nixdorf
Joerg Nixdorf is President of Lehigh Hanson’s Canada Region. He has been with the Company since 1994 and has held various engineering and senior management positions in Germany, the United States and Canada. Prior to his current position, Nixdorf served as Vice President & General Manager, Materials – Pacific Northwest. He holds a degree in Process Engineering from the Technische Universitat Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
President, Northeast Region | Alex Car
Alex Car is President of Lehigh Hanson’s Northeast Region. He has been with the company since 2016. Prior to his current role, Car served as Senior Vice President, Cement Sales for the North Region. Before joining Lehigh Hanson, he was President & CEO of Essroc. Car holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and also earned an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Axel Conrads is President of Lehigh Hanson’s Midwest Region. He has been with the company since 1999 and has held various management positions within the United States and across the globe. Prior to his current role, Conrads served as Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Materials Midwest Sub-region. Conrads holds a degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Aachen in Germany.
President, South Region | Glenn HellerGlenn Heller is President of Lehigh Hanson’s South Region. Heller joined the company in 1997 and has extensive experience in the construction materials industry. Over the years, Heller held a variety of senior management roles within the organization and prior to his most recent position as Vice President of Finance for the South Region, he served as Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis. Heller holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rider University.
President, West Region | Daniel Fritz
Daniel Fritz is President of Lehigh Hanson’s West Region. Fritz has been with the company since 2009 and most recently held the position of Senior Vice President of Cement Operations for Lehigh Hanson’s North Region. Previously, Fritz served as the Director of the HeidelbergCement Technology Center (HTC) for the Asia-Oceania area. Prior to joining the company, Fritz was Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Votorantim Cimentos North America and also held executive management positions at Polysius Corporation and the Willis & Paul Group. Fritz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
Vice President, Government Affairs & Communications | David Perkins
David Perkins is Vice President of Government Affairs & Communications for Lehigh Hanson, Inc. Prior to joining Lehigh Hanson, he served as President and CEO of the Texas Aggregates and Concrete Association (TACA) and previously served as Vice President – Environmental, Government and Public Affairs for Martin Marietta. Perkins holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Science from Texas Christian University.
Senior Vice President, Manufacturing & Engineering, and President of Heidelberg Technology Center | Arnaldo Bertola
Arnaldo Bertola is Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering, and President of Heidelberg Technology Center (HTC) North America. Bertola previously served as Director of HTC Global Engineering. Prior to joining the company, Bertola was Director of Engineering and Projects for Essroc and also served as General Manager - Cement Sector for Fru-Con Bilfinger. He also held a variety of project management, technical and engineering roles with Buzzi Unicem in Italy, Mexico and the U.S. Bertola holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Turin, Italy.
Senior Vice President, Human Resources | R. Van Waldrop
R. Van Waldrop is Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Lehigh Hanson, Inc. Waldrop has been with the company since 1998 and has held a variety of Human Resources and Safety positions. Waldrop is a Board Member of Cement Employers Association and past chair of National Stone Sand and Gravel Association’s Human Resources Committee. Waldrop holds a Bachelor’s degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations degree from Auburn University.
Vice President & General Counsel | Carol Lowry
Carol Lowry is Vice President & General Counsel for Lehigh Hanson, Inc. Prior to joining the company, Lowry held the position of Vice President & General Counsel for Essroc. Previously she was Associate General Counsel at Carpenter Technology Corporation and also held attorney positions at FirstEnergy and Brouse McDowell. Lowry earned her J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland and has a B.A. from Carlow University in Pittsburgh.
Senior Vice President, Global Competence Center Materials | Phil Redmond
Phil Redmond is the Senior Vice President, Global Competence Center Materials. Prior to accepting his current position with the company, Redmond served as Vice President of CCM for North America, a position he has held since November 1, 2018. Redmond has extensive experience in the aggregates and construction materials industry and has held a variety of general and senior management roles in the U.K. since joining the company in 1998, including Managing Director of Hanson Aggregates and Managing Director of Hanson Asphalt and Contracting.
Redmond is the immediate past President of The Institute of Quarrying. He studied Mineral Process Engineering at Sheffield, holds an MBA from the University of Glamorgan and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Vice President, Sales & Marketing | Philip Holland
Philip Holland is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Lehigh Hanson, Inc. Holland has been with the company for more than nine years and most recently held the position of Vice President/General Manager for the Southwest Aggregates Northern Area. Before joining the company, Holland held a variety of sales and management positions at Martin Marietta Materials. Holland holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Kansas State University and a Master’s degree in Management from Baker University.

Michael King is the Vice President of the NAM Competence Center Ready Mix (CCR) for Lehigh Hanson, Inc. King has been with the company since June 2016 and most recently held the position of Director of Operational Improvement RMC/HMA within the NAM Competence Center Materials. (CCM). Previously, King served as the Regional Technical Services Manager for Lafarge Holcim. King holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Florida State University.

Nathan Kimball is Vice President of Safety & Health for Lehigh Hanson, Inc. Kimball has been with the company since 2011 and previously served as the Environment, Health & Safety Director for Lehigh Hanson’s North Region. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Utah State University and received a Master’s degree from the College of Environmental Studies – Management & Administration from Antioch University.
Vice President, Purchasing | Benjamin Zurita
Benjamin Zurita is Vice President of Purchasing for Lehigh Hanson, Inc. Prior to joining the company, Zurita led domestic procurement for Primesource Building Products. Previously, he held a variety of procurement management positions with LafargeHolcim and also worked for Nestle CPW and Lucent Technologies. Zurita holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Operational Research from Warwick Business School in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Tec de Monterrey. He is also a Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) from the Institute of Supply Management (ISM).
